Alison Wines - Founder & Principal

Alison Wines is a communications expert, with a Master's degree in Organizational Communication and nearly 15 years' experience advising global corporations, government and not for profits.

With a background in law and management consulting, Alison has a deep understanding of business and brings a commercial approach to the communications practice. She specializes in internal communications planning and strategy, change communications and communications audits. 

Before founding AlphaJuliet, Alison held a senior position with Deloitte in London, U.K. She led the internal communications response to Brexit and the US elections, working with the CEO, Chief Economist and the most senior partners, as well as overseeing the national communications channels. She is adept at coaching and supporting senior leaders to achieve organizational goals.

Alison is on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators, Toronto.

Julia Balabanowicz - Associate

Julia Balabanowicz is the Managing Director of Dialogic Solutions LTD., and an Associate to AlphaJuliet. As a conflict resolution practitioner with a professional background in engagement and consultation, Julia empowers her clients to handle the thorniest of relationships, navigate difficult dynamics and engage brave conversations with grace, authenticity and confidence.

She specializes in working in high-emotion or oppositional settings and supporting clients to engage in dialogue with their internal and external stakeholders, that achieves positive outcomes and measurable results. She also works with clients to better understand their stakeholders in order to develop risk-based outrage and crisis communications strategies. Over the last ten years, Julia has worked extensively on multi-stakeholder engagements involving the public, First Nations and Métis communities, and governments. 

Julia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Ethics, a Post Graduate certificate in Dispute Resolution and a Master of Arts degree in Disaster and Emergency Management.
